Our season runs from November through August with the following general breakdown:

November and December: Vanguard and Vanguard Cadets Workshops and Auditions begin
January - May: weekly rehearsals and monthly weekend camps
May - August: daily rehearsals, competitions and touring

Corps members are extremely interdependent on each other, so it is difficult for the organization to allow anyone to miss any week during the summer performance schedule.

REHEARSALS
The typical weekly schedule of rehearsals is as follows.

Vanguard
Brass - Monthly Camps; Starting in May Daily Rehearsals
Percussion - Monthly Camps; Starting in May Daily Rehearsals
Color Guard - Camps only in May; Starting in May Daily Rehearsals
Vanguard Cadets
Brass - Monthly Camps; Weekly rehearsals begin in January; Daily rehearsals begin in early June.
Percussion - Monthly Camps; Weekly rehearsals begin in January; Daily rehearsals begin in early June.
Color Guard - Camps only in April and May; Daily rehearsals begin in early June.

CAMPS
There are full weekend rehearsals (Friday evening, all day Saturday and all day Sunday) called camps. They are generally held once per month as per the following schedule. The camps are generally in-town (Santa Clara area).

Vanguard: All are overnight stay camps for all corps members and include transportation, housing, and meals while at the camp.
Vanguard Cadets: They are typically not overnight stays and do not include meals, but overnight housing will arranged with a a local family for those needing housing during the weekend.
